It has taken us longer to weed the flower beds this spring. We are slowly making progress but now we have to deal with those pesky seed pods from the neighboring Maple trees.
Yes, here is one of the little devils that cover our newly mulched flower beds and our grass. The mower helps get rid of the ones in the grass but the only way to clear the flower beds is to pick them up by hand. Yesterday we cleared two five gallon buckets full from the flower bed in front of the house. Maybe next year, the wind will blow the other way.
Today was a nice day to work in the kitchen. A person gets tired of digging in the dirt every day. This afternoon's project was to make Strawberry Rhubarb Jam.
