This afternoon I decided to go out and take a photo of the snow covered garden. We haven't had a lot of snow this winter (so far) but the temperatures have been below average, bordering on brutal. Of course that opinion may be biased because of our age.
Since there are still 60 some days until Spring, this time of year is spent planning the garden for 2018.
During the past few weeks, many hours have been spent happily reading my favorite magazines with a few seed catalogs thrown in for fun. Sadly, my very favorite magazine "Backwoods Home" has published its last issue this month. Fortunately, I have saved many of my back issues and still find helpful articles to aid in my quest for a productive garden.
As I age, it becomes clearer to me that I would have been totally content homesteading.
