Zucchini

 The first harvest!  On Sunday Terry picked three zucchini for Rebecca to take home after her visit on Monday.  They will be part of a zucchini and shrimp recipe that she enjoys making. We gave her the first harvest because there were some small zucchini on the plants that we could pick later in the week. After the rain we received and the bright sunshine along with hot temperatures, the zucchini grew a lot faster than we thought they would.  On Sunday they were tiny and by Wednesday they were much larger than we wanted.  The three on the bottom will be shredded for zucchini bread. The one on the top is much smaller and will be used for grilling.  We are now going to check the zucchini every day.
