At last! March 20th, the beginning of Spring!
It has been a long, cold and snowy winter and we are ready to venture outdoors again. The plan is to, once again, post photos to this blog every month.
The Forsythia bushes have been showing their beautiful sunny color and will soon be in full bloom. Some years we allow the bushes to enter the winter rest period with longer limbs intact but this year we trimmed them in late autumn and they are more compact.
In the flower bed at the front of the house, the August Lilies (Naked Ladies) are showing off their lush foliage. Hopefully I will remember to take another photo when the pink lilies bloom in August. The Hydrangea bushes in front of the lilies are already showing leaves.
Saving the best for last! My very favorite "Tete-a-Tete" Daffodils in full bloom next to the back porch. I am not really a lover of Daffodils but these tiny ones (in my opinion) are beautiful. This autumn I would like to plant more of these little beauties in our flower beds.
Until April.........
