So far it has been a very wet spring. We were beginning to wonder if it would ever stop raining. Our two apple trees must have enjoyed the weather because they are covered in blossoms. They are fairly young trees and this is the first year that they have had more than a sprinkling of blossoms. We had two nights with temperatures below freezing but it doesn't look as if it harmed the trees. We will wait to see if any apples form on the limbs.
Wednesday, May 13th. The soil is finally dry enough for Terry to rototill the garden beds. He couldn't do all of them in one day but he tilled five of them. The asparagus beds in the background have the metal fence posts in place that will support the asparagus ferns as they grow. We enjoyed a seven week season where we cut asparagus at least every other day. Yesterday I raked the beds and planted green beans, carrots, watermelon, cantaloupe and onions.

Yes, your blog is quite interesting and I'll be visiting it often. The fern peony is amazing - I never saw one before this picture. Have fun with your gardening. Love you guys!
