Is Spring Close?

We haven't posted on our Blog since November.  When the garden rests, we take a break from blogging. It is February and the Winter Aconite is in full bloom. Last year we had to dig through the snow to find the pretty little Buttercup type blossoms. It has been a very mild winter but we aren't complaining.

While looking around the garden and flower beds, we noticed that the Pussy Willow is beginning to show signs of life.  It is a little early but it is probably due to the mild winter. Hopefully, spring will arrive without any last minute snow or freezing temperatures. Other signs were found while on our journey around the yard.  Several of our rhubarb plants have begun to sprout.  So far, eight of the rhubarb plants are looking healthy.  Willis and Georgine aren't showing any signs of life but they were the two we were concerned about last year.

This week we will start planting cabbage seeds in a tray under the grow lights - gardening season has begun!  Watch for more photos and updates.
