Improvements

We finally have a fence completely surrounding the back yard.  Hopefully the deer will not be able to use our garden as their luncheon buffet.  We hadn't contracted for the installation of the fence on the south side of our yard because our neighbor lady wasn't on board with the idea of us putting a fence along the property line.  We had the east and north fence installed and she was concerned that we were too close to her property.  We had had our lot surveyed and and knew where the property lines were located.  All was well after that so this summer we scheduled the installation of the last third of our fence. In this photo you can also see that our Rose of Sharon, next to the back porch, are growing.  By next year they should be twice this size.

The fence has a double gate, just in case we ever have to bring in a backhoe or some other type of equipment.  It is better to have a gate than to have to dismantle part of the fence and then put it back. Autumn is quickly arriving!  Our neighbor has begun to harvest his corn and the Walnut tree is rapidly losing leaves.
