Spring has arrived

Spring has finally arrived.  The temperature during the day is normal for this time of year and we have had some days of rain without snowflakes.  We have some of our seedlings happily growing in the basement.  This is the first year we are starting tomato plants and they are looking good.  We planted the marigold seeds a little later this year because they were ready to transplant last spring before the weather was warm enough.  The goal is to have the cucumbers, zucchini, butternut squash, watermelon and pumpkins, ready to plant by May fifteenth.

We planted a Juliet Sweet Dwarf Cherry tree last year and this year it has produced blossoms.  Now we wait to see if we get any cherries.  It is a small tree that will only reach five to eight foot tall when mature.  Another of our trials.
